Ventuno is a restaurant with a focus on Italian culinary traditions and social eating.

Ventuno takes up almost the entire ground floor of the historical Ohrana building. Built in 1889, this Neo-Renaissance building has lived through many stages of Finnish history, even housing the Russian secret police in the early 1900’s. Consisting of 4 interconnected, yet functionally unique spaces, the rooms’ different character is subtly highlighted through tonal shifts in the color scheme. Progressing from one end of the restaurant to the other, the rooms become darker and cosier, adding excitement to the dining experience.

At the furthest end, the deli opens first thing in the morning, serving coffee and light food amidst a clean material palette of ceramic tiles and wood. The adjoining room opens with the rest of the restaurant for lunchtime and houses the heart of the restaurant – a wood-fired Neapolitan pizza oven. This space is ideal for daytime pizza lunches or a casual dinner. The restaurant’s entrance is also a bar, welcoming visitors to enjoy a pre-dinner drink while waiting for the table. The darkest and most intimate room features deep blue hues, brown leather and solid oak furniture creating a warm atmosphere. Classic Italian materials such as marble and three different types of terrazzo adorn the floor throughout the restaurant.
