Villa Saarenpää
A private summerhouse for siblings on the site of their grandparents´ old summer house.
The structure of the building is made with massive wooden elements (CLT) without added insulation and the building also has natural ventilation. All the functions are located under one big roof structure. Bedrooms are located on each end leaving the kitchen and common living area in between.
The common area is left as open as possible leaving a void in the plan exactly the same size as the old summer house. The old fireplace was restored and assembled in the same location as in the old house.
