Valla

The building’s ground floor, originally completed in 2000, underwent a complete refurbishment in 2025. The main entrance and lobby of the office building were relocated to the southern elevation, while the glazed atrium was redesigned to provide high-quality communal spaces for all users of the building. Three new restaurant units were introduced at street level, activating the façades facing Itämerentori Square and Itämerenkatu and enriching the public realm of the Ruoholahti area.

The curved façade addressing Porkkalankatu and the Länsiväylä highway was reconstructed as a transparent glass‑block envelope for the conference centre and 200‑seat auditorium, articulated with full-height windows. New bicycle parking facilities were added in the basement. Throughout the renovation, the upper floors and tower remained fully operational for existing office tenants.
