N2 Helsinki
The starting point for this project was a large empty industrial hall. The commission was to create an office space for the creative marketing company N2 Helsinki which actually consists of six different companies under one roof. N2 Helsinki has approximately 80 employees and a big demand for meeting and collaborative working spaces.
Our solution for the design was to apply urban planning methods. We created a concept with a village of meeting rooms along a single street and a big square as a meeting place where clients and employees have intersecting paths. Rooms for client meetings are located on one side of the square and working spaces on the other. The six companies find their individual offices between the village buildings. On the square are a cafeteria, a reception and a kitchen where a chef prepares lunch for everybody on a daily basis.
Users, both clients and employees, have been super happy with the layout and how their offices work. Every company in the N2 family has its own individual office but everybody is still in the same big room. In addition to the spatial design, Futudesign has also designed many of the furniture pieces for N2 Helsinki.
