Investment Company Office

We renewed the office space for a private equity firm in the city center of Helsinki. Dating from 1904, the Jugend-era building’s interior was returned to its original room configuration and surfaces were restored respectfully, keeping in mind the history of the building. The office layout was reorganized to fit the users’ needs more closely, with a clearer grouping of private, staff spaces and more public spaces where clients are met. Art was given a central role in the design, where attention was paid to the lighting and distribution of the work. Natural materials such as oak work as a backdrop for accents in dark blue – the identifying color for the firm. The reception desk, coat rack and textiles are all tied together with various shades of blue.
