Hotel Helka is located in a building by architect Wivi Lönn built in 1928 and the building is owned by NNKY (YWCA). Originally, it was designed to accommodate women and young girls who worked in the city. Since then, the hotel has evolved into a welcoming and warm institution that states its values loud and proud. The hotel is expanded with new rooms on the second and sixth floors. Later, the restaurant and kitchen will undergo complete refurbishment whilst maintaining their aesthetic of a nordic color pallette and its astonishing collection of old Artek furniture.
