Jäkälä Daycare Center

Located in Tapanila in northeastern Helsinki, Jäkälä is a daycare center for up to 240 children, housed in a building designed by Verstas Architects.

The interior is warm and welcoming, built around a child-friendly scale, with an emphasis on daylight, natural materials and a homelike atmosphere. The rooms are bright and calm, while colorful furniture and playful details bring a sense of joy and creativity. Flexible spaces, cozy corners and child-sized furniture support play, learning and interaction, creating a safe and inspiring environment for early learning.
